Basketball news never fails to feature Lonzo Ball's Dad and his outrageous claims regarding his sons as the next best thing that will happen in basketball. But despite those claims, nobody can deny Lonzo Ball's brilliance on the court. The only problem is, scouts and analysts, don't seem to be impressed by Ball's abilities. But like some NBA legends, greatness comes from all sorts of things.

Mike Korzemba explains in his video that scouts are reportedly afraid of Lonzo Ball's game saying that it is too different for the modern basketball. But then again, scouts who thought of these different players as something that wouldn't do much in the NBA were wrong time and time again. Kevin Garnet, Dirk Nowitzki and most recently Steph Curry are all players who scouts were afraid to draft because of how they played differently but turned out to be MVPs and champions.

It's hard to blame why scouts think that way of Lonzo Ball. Ball has a funky shooting form and doesn't really score much despite his athleticism. But those are also the qualities that set him apart from modern NBA players that make him such a good prospect. There is no NBA player that can be compared to what Ball brings to the table which is what terrifies scouts but is also what makes him special.
Lonzo Ball is a 6'6 point guard with the uncanny ability to make his teammates better but also possess a deadly accurate three-point shot. For comparisons' sake, Lonzo Ball is like a cross between Magic Johnson and Steph Curry but with much superior athleticism. His skill to make his teammates better is more evident in his season with the UCLA.

UCLA ended last season with a record of 15-17 but is now sporting a 29-4 record this season with Lonzo Ball orchestrating the offense. The Bruins were also among the worst offensive teams last year but is now number 1 in offensive efficiency. When he gets drafted and plays with better teammates in the NBA, who knows what Ball can achieve.

So when Lonzo Ball's dad says his son should be the number 1 pick in the NBA, maybe we should believe him. He is actually the only player in the draft that can make everyone around him better. Lonzo Ball is a special player. Scouts just don't see that.
