Tim Tebow News: Florida Newspaper Runs Ads Demanding Jacksonville Jaguars Sign Out-Of-Work Quarterback [VIDEO]

Fans of Tim Tebow have placed ads in the Florida Times Union promising owner Shad Khan they will "fill the stadium" if he signs the former Heisman Trophy winning Florida Gators star.

"Dr. Mr. Khan, sign Tim Tebow and we will fill the stadium," the ad, signed by the "citizens of Jacksonville" boldly states.

Hardcore Jacksonville-based Tebow fans show little signs of letting up in their efforts to land the Florida native on the Jaguars roster. Just over a week ago, a Jacksonville city councilman formally launched a campaign aimed at getting the "hometown hero" in uniform.

During a formal city council session on Nov. 8 to discuss the city's $43 million share of funding new scoreboards at EverBank Field, councilman Don Redman asked Jacksonville Jaguars lobbyist Paul Harden for an update on his earlier request that the team ink Tebow.

Redman also later told local reporters he personally spoke with owner Khan last year about a Tebow signing and was told by him he likes Tebow, but he had hired GM David Caldwell to handle all such matters.

"If you want to sell tickets, get Tebow in there," Redman told reporters. "Draw a crowd."
