Reports to Chicago White Sox pitcher Jose Quintana status starts to swirl again in the news nowadays. Up until now, rumors are saying that he is still available for trade and making a potential target of many teams. And one of those teams that seem to be keeping their interest in him is the New York Yankees.

The Yankees are one of the most celebrated teams in the MLB league as they have won twenty-seven World Series titles. However, they had a disappointing campaign last year and they want to get back this season. And reviving their interest on Jose Quintana could be the answer.

Jose Quintana, who've been voted as an All-Star last season, has stepped up his game that gave him the opportunity to play in the majors coming from a minor league. Now that he made a name of his own in the league, there is no surprise that many teams are interested in him. And now, reports are spreading that he might possibly go to other teams.

According to FOXSports, Jose Quintana's name is said to be on the trading block up until now and other teams can still chase him as the Spring Training have already started. And having the 28-year old closer is definitely a big boost to any team's lineup.

Last season, Jose Quintana had a pitching average of a 3.20 ERA, 1.16 WHIP with 181 strikeouts in 208 career-high innings and a 13-12 win-loss record. Though there is an indication that he is most likely would stay with the team, White Sox general manager Rick Hahn is not closing out anything on him as per stated in the report.

And it seems that the Yankees are moving again to acquire Quintana from the White Sox. According to NJ.com, the New York Yankees are said to be still going after Jose Quintana again after chasing him during the offseason. And with the spring training is already ongoing, trade chatter between Quintana and the Yankees are starting to heat up again.

Aside from the Yankees, the Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates are also fighting to have the 28-year old left-handed pitcher services. Aside from being one of the rising pitchers in the league, he is much more affordable with just under $38 million over the next four years.

Will the New York Yankees pursue to acquire the services of Chicago White Sox pitcher Jose Quintana?
