"Dragon Quest fans should rejoice as "Dragon Quest Heroes 2" will be heading to the PC at the same time the Playstation 4 North American version launches on Apr 25. "Dragon Quest 2" will release on PC via Steam without any delay unlike its predecessor.

The PC release of "Dragon Quest Heroes 2" is accompanied by a new trailer which sets the stage for war between the seven realms. The plot begins when a country of peace is now guided by a mysterious and malicious force. Cousins and knights-in-training, Lazarel and Teresa will lead the fight and defend their kingdom against the invading Dunisian Army led by Price Cesar.

The peace between the worlds is now gone which led the world of "Dragon Quest Heroes 2" to descend in chaos. The cousins as well as the player are tasked to travel to Accordia for a meeting with the Supreme Sovereign of the Seven Realms and look for answers to bring the world back to peace according to PC Gamer.

"Dragon Quest Heroes 2" features the hack and slash games of the "Dynasty Warriors" franchise and combines it with the characters of the legendary RPG series. The first game of the series didn't fare well with reviewers scoring bellow average grades. "Dragon Quest 2" seems to have improved upon its predecessor with a 39/40 score from Japanese video game magazine Famitsu.

Meanwhile Square Enix also announced a Day One Explorer's Edition for "Dragon Quest Heroes 2" according to VG247. Pre-orders are already ongoing for the special edition on the Square Enix store and the PS Store.

The special edition of "Dragon Quest Heroes 2" comes with 15 exclusive DLC items which include weapons that are inspired from the enemies in the game. Examples of which are the Slime Knight's Shield, Great Sabreclaws, Golem Gauntlets, Night Club among other.

Furthermore, players who pre-order "Dragon Quest Heroes 2" will also receive several bonuses. These include an exclusive PS4 theme, a Dragon Quest 1 hero costume and a recipe for "Dragon Quest Builders."
