Nearly eighteen years since its release, "The Matrix" is still one of the best sci-fi classics of all time. The release of "The Matrix" in 1999 ushered in a revolutionary style of filmmaking and special effects that put the Wachowski sisters, Lana and Lilly, on the Hollywood map and further solidified Keanu Reeves acting career. With the success of "The Matrix", two more sequels followed in 2003, "The Matrix Reloaded" and "The Matrix Revolutions".

After the release of "The Matrix Reloaded" back in 2003, everybody thought that's the end of the "The Matrix" series. Not so, apparently, according to Neo himself, Keanu Reeves. In a recent interview while promoting his latest movie, "John Wick 2" in the United Kingdom, Keanu Reeves said that he'd be willing to come back and do "Matrix 4", according to a report from Yahoo Movies.

During the interview, Keanu Reeves was asked if he was willing to come back for "Matrix 4". Keanu Reeves said he's willing to do it, but with one condition and that is Lana and Lilly Wachowski would have to be there to make the film. Keanu Reeves also added that the Wachowskis would have to write and direct "Matrix 4" and then he'll see what the story is all about.

Fans of "The Matrix" and Keanu Reeves are definitely thrilled at the possibility of seeing Neo again on the big screen on "Matrix 4". However, some suggest that it might not be a good idea to make another Matrix sequel owing to the disappointment fans got upon watching the last part of the trilogy, "The Matrix Revolutions".

Plus there's the fact that Keanu Reeves' character, Neo, died in "The Matrix Revolutions". The final scene though, gave fans a teaser that Neo will come back.

In the final scene, the Oracle was asked by Sati if they will ever see Neo again, to which the Oracle replied, someday. But hopes of a sequel were shut down by "The Matrix" producer Joel Silver in an interview last year wherein he said that the story of "The Matrix" was really designed as a trilogy, via a report from Movie World.

Never the less, this is still Hollywood. And in Hollywood, anything can happen especially right now where sequels are the hottest ticket in town.
