Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Montreal Canadiens (9-8-2, 20 points) and Columbus Blue Jackets (6-10-2, 14 points) go head-to-head live from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus for the second of three meetings this season. Montreal has lost five of six games entering tonight's game while Columbus is 2-4-2 on the road and with tonight's game being the last contest before the team embarks on a five-game road trip, the Blue Jackets will be looking to head out on a high note. Montreal won the first meeting between these two teams by a score of 5-3 on Oct. 17.

The Canadiens are coming off of a 2-1 shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.

"There were many things that happened last game that I didn't like, but in the games before that there were a lot of positives, even though we might have lost," coach Michel Therrien said Thursday, according to NHL.com. 

The Blue Jackets are coming off of a 3-2 overtime loss at the hands of the Boston Bruins Thursday night.

"I think it's a big game tomorrow; we have to go back home and win the game and get the two points before going on a big trip," defenseman David Savard told Fox Sports Ohio. "I think in the third we battled hard and just have to bring [that] tomorrow the whole 60 minutes, maybe more." 

Brandon Dubinsky has led the Blue Jackets with 15 points off of five goals and 10 assists for 15 points while James Wisniewski has 14 points off of two tallies and 12 helpers. For Montreal, P.K. Subban has a team-high 14 points after finding the twine three times and adding 11 assists while Alex Galchenyuk has 14 points due to lighting the lamp three times and adding 11 helpers.

Peter Budaj will get the start between the pipes and he has a 2-1-0 record with a 1.34 GAA and a .953 save percentage while reigning Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky is 5-8-2 with a 2.83 GAA and a .908 save percentage this season for Columbus.

Columbus will look to grasp a home win before a five-game road trip while Montreal looks to bounce back from a tough loss on Tuesday when these teams collide tonight
