Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James is a machine and a freight train when it comes to playing in the basketball court. LeBron James is also 32 years old and like any other machines, efficiency and productivity should decline as the years add on. But not so with LeBron James this season.

LeBron James minutes may have increased this season, but the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar has been more efficient in terms of his production on the court this season, according to a report from ESPN. LeBron James so far has been producing career numbers despite averaging two more minutes of playing time this season.

LeBron James has been averaging close to 38 minutes per game this season, which ties him with another player for the league lead in minutes played. The only other player tied with LeBron James is Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors.

The 38 minutes per game is well within the range that Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said LeBron James would be playing at this time of year. At the beginning of this season in November last year, Tyronn Lue said that he will continue to play LeBron James in the 36-38 minute range, via a report from ESPN.

The increase in minutes in LeBron James playing time may be due to the fact that the Cleveland Cavaliers have to deal with a lot of injured players this season. Injuries to Kevin Love, J.R. Smith, Mo Williams and Chris Andersen have depleted the Cleveland Cavaliers depth. But that hasn't deterred LeBron James from being efficient on the court.

This season, LeBron James has been averaging a career high 8.8 assists per game. LeBron James is also shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from the three point area, his highest numbers since his last season with the Miami Heat. With the season almost halfway done, one would assume that LeBron James' numbers would taper off. Instead, LeBron James seems to have gotten even better as the Cleveland Cavaliers gets ready for the playoffs.

This February, LeBron James is averaging 11.2 assists while shooting 61.2 percent from the field and 56 percent from the three point area. Any concerns about LeBron James' minutes affecting his production has just been debunked.
