McGregor-Mayweather Talks Progressing Forward, Deal Imminent

Fight fans and enthusiasts have something to salivate about very soon. It is almost guaranteed that two of the best fighters in their respective fields will be squaring off.

The negotiations between Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s outfit and Notorious camp, which represents MMA star Conor McGregor, has reached a new level. With the talks getting deeper, it is likely that an agreement will be in the horizon.

As of late, McGregor is heading to Las Vegas to reinforce the finalization of the multi-million dollar boxing contract. He has earlier cancelled an appearance at the Red Cow Moran Hotel in Dublin due to his departure to the United States where he will be constructing an anti-bullying film for school children.

The video that he will be participating on is part of a disciplinary settlement he agreed with the Nevada State Athletic Association. It can be recalled that the current UFC lightweight champion threw a bottle at fellow fighter Nate Diaz during a public engagement prior to the bout.

With the intense discussions about the fight circulating across the web, a leak affiliated with the Straight Blast gym where the Irish slugger trained, has surfaced declaring that financial packages for Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have already been agreed upon.

Around this time, the only thing that is preventing the fight from happening can be attributed to a third party commitment. This interference is likely to be the UFC top honcho.

Dana White, the President of the elite MMA league, has pointed out that the fight is not possible. It has been known that the hindrance is McGregor's deal with UFC for four more bouts. White has reiterated that there will legal impediments if the only two-division champion will proceed with his plan.

The 28-year old mixed martial arts fighter is sporting a 21-3 record in the association. Meanwhile, the undefeated Mayweather has not fought since defeating Andre Berto in 2015.
