Another year has gone by, another grueling NFL season just ended. With the season already done, with it comes speculations about whether Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will call it quits or continue to play for another year.

Last Thursday, Carson Palmer put an end to all the speculations. Carson Palmer has confirmed that he'll be returning for one more year with the Arizona Cardinals, ready to pursue that elusive Super Bowl ring, according to a report from ESPN.

For the past six weeks, Carson Palmer has been evaluating his mind and body on whether or not he's still up for the grind of another grueling NFL season. After much deliberation, Carson Palmer has decided to go on for one more year.

Apparently the lure of embarking on another journey for that elusive Super Bowl ring was too much to resist. Carson Palmer said that he's ready both physically and mentally for another run at a Super Bowl championship.

"My intent was to take some time after the season to get away and see where I was physically and mentally," Carson Palmer said

Carson Palmer, 37, decided to come back after wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald said that he'll be coming back to the Arizona Cardinals for one more season. Larry Fitzgerald confirmed last week that instead of retiring, he will play out the final year of his contract with the Arizona Cardinals, via a report from ESPN.

Last season, Carson Palmer threw for 4,233 yards and 26 touchdowns. Carson Palmer has thrown at least 4,000 yards in four of the last five seasons.

Carson Palmer is also on the final year of his contract with the Arizona Cardinals. He is scheduled to earn $17.5 million next season.

Carson Palmer is coming off one of the most physically grueling season of his storied career. Although Carson Palmer only missed one game last season due to a concussion, he was playing through a lingering hamstring injury. On pass plays, Carson Palmer was hit 57 times, the third most in the NFL.
