Hulk Hogan has been able to enjoy some free time since his TNA contract expired on Oct. 1, and he still has interest in re-joining the WWE for its historic WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view event that airs Sunday, April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. While enjoying that free time, though, Hogan once again encountered yet another problem with his boat.
Hogan, who has had some terrible luck with his boats this year, suffered another setback on one of his boats earlier this week. Hogan had a radiator explode on his hand and severely injure it in May and also suffered through a boat accident in September after the glass on his windshield shattered and left the wrestling icon "covered in blood." His latest struggles involving one of his boats occurred when he took his boat "The Immortal" out and ran out of gas while he was out on it.
Hogan tweeted the following Tuesday:
Hogan, 60, is considered a free agent now that he has no contractual obligations to TNA, and he reportedly "has interest" in returning to the WWE in time for their huge WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view spectacular this spring. Hogan expressed his interest in returning to the company where he helped launch "Hulkamania" and to the event where he helped boost professional wrestling back in 1985 with WrestleMania I.
"I would love to be at WrestleMania XXX," Hogan told Philadelphia's ABC affiliate at an autograph signing last week "I would love to have a ringside seat. But, the truth is I need a job. I quit TNA. I've just been hanging out on the beach. Never say never."
Hogan later said that he may "Hulk up" for the event and when asked if he'd like to be a part of it, Hogan further elaborated that with the "right guy, right venue, right payday" he would be there.
Hogan was reportedly deterred by a deal with the WWE after receiving a "lowball" offer and being told by creative that he couldn't face CM Punk, who Hogan pegged as the "right guy," due to the WWE's creative team having different plans, but judging by Hogan's recent interview it seems as though he still has interest.
Hogan said that he knows he won't be able to wrestle too many matches these days at his age, but that he would still enjoy just being around the business like he was with TNA.
"I don't think I can wrestle too much anymore, but just being around the business and helping and being part of it is pretty cool," Hogan told ABC.
Hogan said he and WWE COO Triple H have had some good discussions involving a return and PWInsider also reported that Hogan was "training like a madman" for a comeback at WrestleMania 30.
Hogan hasn't appeared at a WrestleMania event since WrestleMania 21 in 2005, but it seems as though with both sides on good terms Hogan is likely to further spread 'Hulkamania' at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans.
