Arian Foster Injury: Texans Star To Have Season-Ending Back Surgery [VIDEO]

Arian Foster will have season-ending back surgery for a bulging disk and is expected to meet with Houston Texans team officials over the next few days to determine how soon he will undergo the procedure.

According to ESPN, Foster skipped practice all this week and was hoping to avoid having to go under the knife. After meeting with as many as three doctors, two of them nationally renowned, and having all of them recommend surgery, Foster decided to undergo the procedure.

Foster first hurt his back last month and re-aggravated the injury during last week's 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, where he was limited to just the team's first series. Prior to that, he suffered a hamstring injury in the team's Oct. 20 loss to Kansas City and sat out all of the preseason with a calf injury.

Foster has his best game of the season against St. Louis, rushing for 141 yards on just 20 carries. He had his first 100-yard game in the Texans 23-20 overtime loss to Seattle. Foster scored his only touchdown of the season in Week 2 against the Tennessee, the last time the Texans actually won a game.
