The Moto G4 and G4 Plus have received the software update of Android 7.0 Nougat. The update has a lots of improvement for a mid range mobile phones and it also ensures that your battery doesn't drain out quickly.

Although many other Android users already got access to the new Android 7.1.1 OS except Moto G4 and G4 Plus users. The reason said for the delay is that company did not want to roll out such update so early. The release date for the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is not fixed yet for Moto G4 and G4 plus but rumours are that any time in this year, they would receive it.

Now ,the twist in here is this new update is only applicable to the particular handsets. The update which comes with a build number NP J25.93-11 is compatible for both Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. This update is applicable to model number XT1621 and XT1643 for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus respectively, as reported in mobilenapps.

Most of the regions around the world using Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus have already received the notification for the software update. The remaining parts like Germany might get it by the end of this month.

Android 7.0 and 7.1.1 Nougat is the seventh major version of AOS that was released officially on August 22, 2016 with Nexus devices. As reported by gadgets.ndtv, the update for Moto phones beyond what Android 7.0 Nougat gives includes Swipe to shrink the screen and G4 Plus got fingerprint screen lock.
