It's the first "SmackDown Live" exclusive show in the brand extension New Era of the WWE as the company presents Backlash live from the Richmond Coliseum in Viriginia on Sunday night.
Six matches have been announced for the card, which is headlined by a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match pitting reigning title-holder Dean Ambrose against the No. 1 contender, "The Phenomenal One" AJ Styles.
Also on the show, two first-ever champions will be crowned as the Blue Brand is set to award its Women's and Tag Team Champions at Backlash.
After taking out American Alpha and turning heel last Tuesday, The Usos will battle The Hype Bros in a semifinals match-up where the winners will take on the oddball team of Rhyno and Heath Slater to crown the new champions. In the women's division, a Six Pack Challenge match between Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Naomi, Natalya, Alexa Bliss and Carmella will determine their new champion.
More gold hangs in the balance when The Miz defends his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler.
Rounding out the card, Randy Orton will take on Bray Wyatt in a grudge match where both WWE Superstars badly need a win to gain some serious momentum on "SmackDown Live."
This will be the first Backlash event since 2009, when current WWE Hall of Famer Edge defeated John Cena in a Last Man Standing Match to win the WWE Championship. The "Cenation" leader isn't on the card Sunday, but he teased an appearance.
