There isn't much comradery among some Irish athletes.

Golfer Rory McIlroy bowed out of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio amid fears over the Zika virus and some of his fellow countryman have taken notice.

Irish boxers Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlan each took jabs outside of the ring toward McIlroy on social media.

First, Conlan tweeted a picture of him alongside Ricky Fowler claiming that Fowler called McIlroy a "p--sy," and then Barnes took things to the next level. Barnes tweeted a picture of him smiling next to Caroline Wozniacki, who is the former fiance of McIlroy.

Barnes posted a tweet tagging McIlroy and wrote that he and Wozniacki made a great couple together.

McIlroy and Wozniacki have an awkward past. The couple announced their engagement on New Year's Day in 2014, but the golfer called it off via a phone call a few days after they mailed out their wedding invitations.

Wozniacki was placed in the awkward position of explaining what went wrong publicly. "I thought at least, you know, I would get a face-to-face or something, but there was nothing," Wozniacki said on "In Depth with Graham Bensinger." "It was just a phone call and I did not hear from him again. It kind of just ended."

The tennis star has since been linked to such names as Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, but the two also eventually parted ways.

McIlroy, meanwhile, is currently engaged to PGA Tour employee Erica Stall. The couple dated for a couple of months before announcing their engagement back in November.

After being barbed by Conlan and Barnes, McIlroy fired back on Twitter:

It seems the Irish aren't very united during the Olympic Games.
