It's been a rough couple of months for Draymond Green.
First, the Warriors choked away a 3-1 NBA Finals lead and watched the Cavaliers become the first team to ever overcome that deficit to win a championship. Now, he's having all kinds of trouble with Snapchat.
Green was involved in an embarrassing Snapchat snafu on Sunday as he accidentally sent a picture of his genitals to his followers rather than his intended target.
The Warriors and Team USA Olympic basketball forward then publicly apologized for the revealing photo.
"I apologize for the situation," Green said, according to ESPN. "It's clearly not what I was trying to do."
The snap of Green's penis was live on Snapchat for 10 minutes before being removed and he later explained that he didn't mean to send it out publicly.
"It was a situation where it was meant to be a private message," Green said. "I kinda hit the wrong button and it sucks. It was meant to be private. We're all one click away from placing something in the wrong place, and I suffered from that this morning."
Green and groins were both major storylines during the NBA Finals as the forward sat out a game in the series after being suspended for kneeing eventual NBA Finals MVP LeBron James in the nether regions.
On Sunday, Green tweeted that he was "hacked" and "can't win right now," but eventually said he's happy at where he is in his life.
"I'm in a great position in my life," Green said Sunday. "There's so many things going on in my world for me to sit and complain, 'I can't catch a break.' I'm living my dream."
While Green is on an apology tour, former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe said he doesn't believe the Warriors forward deserves discipline for the incident.
"I think the embarrassment is punishment enough," Sharpe told TMZ Sports. "I don't get some of these guys now, but hey -- we're in a new era now. ...This is the life that we live right now, man. Tweeting out or Snapchatting out or whatever you do out of body parts, leave that alone."
