LeBron James is still celebrating, so he's not quite ready to get down to business.

It's hard to blame the Cavaliers star for still soaking it all in as he helped bring the team its first championship in franchise history and become the first club to ever erase a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA Finals.

James is still waiting to sign a new contract and while the NBA Finals MVP said he intends to return to the Cavaliers, right now he's still enjoying a championship celebration. The latest stop took him to Las Vegas and while things went awry, James still seems to be having a great time.

"He was supposed to get a specialty cake," a source told Page Six about James. "But, like a nightmare episode of 'Cake Boss,' during transport it broke. A replica trophy toppled over, damaging it. The chefs tried everything . . . to no avail."

Luckily, there was a backup plan in place.

"They sent out a massive Ace of Spades [Champagne] presentation led by a 6-liter bottle brought by a cocktail waitress in a rocket carried by security," the source said.

Though he hasn't re-signed with the Cavaliers yet, James is expected to sign a one-year deal to maximize his money-making ability long-term -- even if a timetable hasn't been set for negotiations. The four-time MVP vowed to remain with the organization at the championship victory parade last month.

"Thanks to all of y'all, dog. I really appreciate it," James said during the speech, according to NJ.com. "So thank you for all the "LeBron wishes" and "coming home wishes," but I'm nothing without the group behind me, man. I'm nothing without the coaching staff. I'm nothing without the city. You guys are unbelievable. And these guys told me I've got to turn around. So I'm nothing without y'all. I love all y'all. I love all y'all, and, s---, let's get ready for next year."

The Cavaliers spoiled the Warriors' chances for a second straight NBA title and ended their NBA-record 73-win season with a Game 7 loss. James had a triple double in the deciding Game 7 with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists and led the NBA Finals in every major category.

Perhaps that's why he's still celebrating instead of working on a new deal.
