AJ Lee hasn't been in a WWE ring in over a year, but she's been plenty busy outside of the squared circle.

The three-time Divas Champion is set to release her book, "Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed By Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rules," on April 4, 2017.

Lee recently got ready for the book's release by taking some photos for the cover in Chicago as the release of the publication draws near:

The former Diva retired from the WWE shortly after WrestleMania 31 in March 2015, mostly due to the ongoing legal battle between her husband, former WWE Superstar CM Punk, and the company's doctor, Chris Amann.

Punk walked out on the WWE in January 2014 and later that year he blasted Dr. Amann and many WWE executives, saying the physician misdiagnosed him on several occasions.. Dr. Amann countered with a defamation lawsuit against Punk and Colt Cabana, whose podcast was the platform for the discussion.

Though Lee stayed with the WWE for over a year after Punk left, the lawsuit apparently was too much for her to overcome and she opted to walk away and pursue other things.

The couple remains busy outside of wrestling as Punk will make his long-awaited UFC debut in a fight against Mickey Gall on Sept. 10 at UFC 203 in Cleveland, while Lee just finished writing the book, and has worked with a dog rescue association..

Lee may not be in the WWE anymore, but she still has a strong link to wrestling. After noting on Twitter that her book was done, NXT Superstar Bayley responded that she'll "take 13 copies" of it.

Given all that Lee and Punk went through in the WWE and the subsequent controversy that followed "The Best in the World," the book should be filled with interesting tidbits and will hopefully have Lee's perspective of everything that went down between the company and her husband.
