The time has come to celebrate the past year in sports as the 24th annual ESPY Awards emanate live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
WWE Superstar John Cena will host this year's show, becoming the first wrestler to ever do the honors. The 15-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion is sure to have jokes and suprrises in store.
Several awards will be doled out on Tuesday, including Best Team and Best Male Athlete. Clubs up for Best Team include the NBA champion Cavaliers, Stanley Cup champion Penguins, World Series champion Royals, Super Bowl champion Broncos, the Crimson Tide NCAA men's football team, the NCAA Women's Huskies basket ball team and the NCAA men's Villanova Wildcats basketball team.
Those up for best male athlete include Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper and Cavaliers star LeBron James.
