It's been a rough couple of months for Draymond Green.

First, the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead -- during a series he was suspended a game for -- and fell to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Then, he was arrested.

Green was arrested for assault in East Lansing, Mich., where he attended college at Michigan State, according to MLive.com. Green was suspended for Game 6 of the NBA Finals after an on-court altercation with LeBron James.

No further details about the arrest have come to light.

"The police department is not confirming any arrest with that name," Lt. Scott Wrigglesworth, the East Lansing police department Public Information Officer, told the website. "What I can confirm is that we did arrest a current NBA basketball player this weekend and he was arrested for assault. That's all we're confirming right now."

Green, 26, now has 10 days to return to East Lansing and be arraigned for the assault charge, according to the report.

The power forward was part of history this season with Golden State as it eclipsed an NBA record with 73 wins. The Warriors then failed in defense of their NBA championship, becoming the first team in history to ever blow a 3-1 series lead in the finals as James led the Cavaliers to their first NBA title.

Green averaged 14 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks for the Warriors during their run to history.

The NBA star signed a five-year, $85 million extension with the Warriors last summer and was slated to play for Team USA in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games this summer.
