Germany and France are set to collide in the UEFA Euro 2016 semifinals live from Stade Velodrome in France on Thursday with a trip to the finals hanging in the balance.

Fresh off of a 5-2 victory over Ireland on Sunday, the French hosts will look to topple Germany in a competitive match for the first time since 1958 to advance to the finals.

Germany, the world champions, fell to France, 2-0, in November, during a match that was targeted by three suicide bombers and saw one person killed during the Paris attacks.

The Germans defeated Italy in penalty kicks to advance to the semifinals.

France will welcome Adil Rami and N'Golo Kante back to the lineup after they sat out last game due to suspensions. Germany's starters will be Neuer, Kimmich, Boateng, Howedes, Hector, Can, Kroos, Draxler, Ozil, Gotze, Muller, while France will counter with Lloris, Sagna, Rami, Koscielny, Evra, Matuidi, Kante, Pogba, Griezmann, Giroud, Payet.

The French know it won't be easy, but they're ready to give it their all.

"Look, Germany are Germany," manager Didier Deschamps said, according to The Standard. "They're the reigning world champions and one of the best sides at the European Championship. They had a scare against Italy in the quarterfinal, but other than that, they've been in control of all the games they've played. But it won't be a stroll in the park for them: we'll go all out for it. We're playing in France, our own country, and we'll go all out for it. We have to remember anything is possible."

Despite missing some key players, Germany is looking to overcome the losses and move on to the finals against Portugal, which beat Wales, 2-0, on Wednesday.

"I am especially sorry for Mario [Gomez]," Germany manager Joachim Low said via the publication. "He put in some good performances at these Euros and has helped the team, not only with his goals. For us, it means we have to accept the new situation and find solutions, which we will do."
