Sometimes, even on-field enemies can be friends.

NFL quarterbacks Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford may be rivals on the gridiron, but that didn't stop them from palling around this summer during the offseason. The two signal callers and their wives went on a couple's vacation to the Bahamas and seemed to have a lot of fun together.

Kelly Stafford posted a picture on Instagram of the foursome enjoying their vacation. In the photo, Ryan has his wife, Sarah, on his back, while Stafford has Kelly on his. According to Stafford's wife's caption, it was an "epic" trip.

Both quarterbacks will look for better seasons next year as Ryan led the Falcons to an 8-8 record and missed the playoffs for the third straight season, while Stafford and the Lions finished 7-9 and failed to make the postseason for the third time in the last four seasons.

After some rough seasons, both quarterbacks appeared to bask in the glow of the long offseason:

Luckily, this bromance between the two signal callers named Matt won't end this year since their teams don't play each other. Overall, they've met three times in the NFL, with Ryan owning a 2-1 edge over Stafford.

Kelly Stafford casued a social media stir back in December when she placed tickets to the Lions' game against the Saints in New Orleans on sale on StubHub for $200 apiece rather than giving them away since her husband makes millions of dollars.

"I bought those New Orleans tickets to take my family to the game, but found out at the beginning of this week my grandfather is very ill so I am going home to see him instead," Kelly fired back, according to TMZ. "I'm also sorry for being HUMAN and wanting to sell the tickets we purchased because we are not able to go."

Kelly also created a buzz when she flipped out on NFL officials twice last season via social media.

On the field, Stafford, 28, played in all 16 games in 2015 and completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 4,262 yards with 32 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Ryan, 31, had a 66.3 completion percentage through 16 contests, while throwing for 4,591 yards, 21 scores and 16 picks.
