Tim Tebow has been open about how religious he is and he recently put his beliefs to good use.

A post on Delta Air Lines' official Facebook page by a passenger, Richard V. Gotti, explains how Tebow used his power of prayer to help out a family after another passenger suffered a medical emergency mid-flight on a trip from Atlanta to Phoenix.

Gotti noted that he saw complete strangers jump to aid the passenger for over an hour, acts that included placing an IV, doing chest compressions and breathing life into him.

Then, the passenger noted, Tebow came to the aid of his family.

"Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy was Tim Tebow," Gotti wrote on Facebook. "He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation.

"The plane landed in Phoenix and that was the first time they got a pulse back! Please share this with your friends! Pray for this man and his family, and also thank God that we still have people of faith who in times of difficulty look to the Lord!"

Delta confirmed the incident and noted that paramedics were waiting when the plane landed to provide help to the man. There has been no word on Tebow's involvement and the former Heisman Trophy winner also didn't post anything about it, so the story hasn't been fully confirmed.

"We can't say enough about the Delta professionals who care for our customers every day and we are grateful to our customers who are so often quick to extend kindness and care to one another," Delta spokesman Brian Cruse said via AJC.com.

Tebow isn't in the NFL anymore, but he's been very busy lately as he is currently co-hosting the Fox show "Home Free,"

The 28-year-old certainly stays in the news despite not playing in a regular season NFL game since 2012.
