Speculation is building that the Green Bay Packers might be interested in turning to Tim Tebow as star quarterback Aaron Rodgers recuperates from a collarbone injury.

ProFootballTalk.com reports Tebow's name has previously been mentioned as a potential backup for the Packers, prompting some to wonder if the team may revisit that possibility with Rodgers expected to be sidelined at least three weeks . Other free agents rumored to be on the team's radar include Vince Young, who was in training camp with the team, and Matt Flynn, another former member of the organization.

After being linked to teams from St. Louis to Chicago to Jacksonville at some point this season, Tebow has largely remained out of the spotlight of late, though he has resisted all suggestions that he either change positions or sign with a lesser league in hopes of improving his skills to the point of getting another shot as an NFL quarterback.

Just last week the L.A. KISS of the Arena League signed ex-NFL quarterback Colt Brennan after the interest they publicly expressed in Tebow went unreturned.

Tebow, meanwhile, was busy opening a restaurant in his hometown of Jacksonville with his brother, Robbie. PDQ (People Dedicated to Quality) is described as a "fast-casual restaurant" that specializes in crispy chicken tenders, handcut fries, salads and chicken sandwiches.

In time, the brothers have indicated they plan to open as many as 10 to 12 local locations and hope to employ as many as 500 people.
