Daniel Bryan literally still dreams about wrestling.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion retired from the company back in February due to a serious bout with concussions. The transition into retirement hasn't been an easy one for the former WWE Superstar, but he's found ways to stay occupied.
Bryan, who is a New York Times best-seller, has been finding different activities to try and adapt to life outside the grind of the squared circle, including gardening, but he hasn't quite fallen in love with anything like he did with wrestling.
"The Beard" retired with an emotional speech in his home state of Washington on an edition of "Monday Night RAW" in February. His wife, Brie Bella, followed quickly behind him, calling it a career following WrestleMania 32 in April so that the two can focus on starting a family.
"A part of my mind hasn't accepted it," Bryan said, according to The Daily World. "I wake up sometimes with dreams of wrestling. This literally happened to me [the night before the speech]. I was in Las Vegas and I flew in. I woke up this morning from a dream where I was going to wrestle and I'm not. I have to remind myself at times."
Bryan also just added a new wrestling-related gig as he's hosting the WWE's Cruiserweight Classic with Mauro Ranallo.
With Bryan and Bella both retired, the focus has been on starting a family.
"Well, I guess the world should know I am trying," Bella said in a post-'Total Divas' Facebook Q&A back in April. "I'm not pregnant yet, that's why you know I indulged in some alcohol yesterday on the beach that paparazzi had to take a shot of [during filming of 'Total Divas']. But yes, I am trying, so keep your fingers crossed."
While Bryan can't set foot in the ring again, he's well on his way to producing a future second-generation star.
