More details have come out regarding the interesting incident that led to Paige getting arrested Sunday night in Las Vegas.
It was reported earlier this week that the two-time Divas Champion was detained by police following the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, but details remained sketchy.
On a recent edition of MLW Radio, one of the hosts, Konnan, who is a good friend of Paige's boyfriend Alberto Del Rio, discussed the incident at length iwth his co-hosts. Konnan said after the Money in the Bank event on Sunday, Paige and Del Rio went to see the Absinthe show in Las Vegas when a drunk couple got into it with them, according to WrestlingInc.
Per the radio show, the couple began to heckle Paige and Del Rio, calling them "fake wrestlers" among other things. After an argument broke out, police arrived on the scene and handcuffed those involved. Paige was then briefly taken to an ambulance to see if anything was wrong with her, but eventually she and Del Rio were free to go.
There were rumors surfacing that the incident may have been between the couple or a part of "Swerved," "Total Divas" or another WWE show, but that obviously isn't the case.
The WWE was reportedly looking into the matter, but judging by the events of "Monday Night RAW," the Norwich, England native wasn't punished for her involvement in the argument.
Paige was booked in a WWE Women's Championship match against Charlotte on the flagship show this week, though she lost after the reigning champion hit Natural Selection. Sasha Banks then finally re-emerged on television to note she's coming after Charlotte's gold.
Rumors of Del Rio and Paige being a real-life couple surfaced when pictures of them kissing and getting romantic at a Disney theme park appeared online last month.
At first, there were theories of it being a "Total Divas" angle, since Paige's relationship with Kevin Skaff was a focal point last season, but it has since been confirmed that they are a couple.
It doesn't appear as though any heat from the WWE is coming there way, judging by how things went on Monday. See a video of Piage dealing with the cops below.
