The drama between Russell Wilson's fiancée and her ex-boyfriend may never go away, but the quarterback and his flame got a little piece of good news recently.

Future, who has a baby with Wilson's fiancée Ciara, countersued the R&B star as they continue to wage war in a custody battle over Future Jr. that has played out in the media.

Ciara slapped her former fiancé with a $15 million defamation lawsuit after he called her a bad mother and railed against her career, calling her "washed up." Future countersued his former girlfriend for the same amount, requesting for her suit to be dismissed and for the "I Bet" singer to pay his legal fees.

A Fulton County, Ga. judge denied Future's countersuit this week, making the decision that Future can't sue Ciara for the same complaint she levied on him, according to St. Louis American.

Ciara was very agitated after Future's comments calling her washed up. The singer claimed the disparaging remarks only were made as a way for him to trash her due to being "tormented" by her success and high-profile relationship.

Ciara and Future also don't see eye-to-eye over Wilson having a great relationship with Baby Future, as the rapper has been very clear he doesn't like it, while Ciara has tabbed her husband-to-be as a stepfather to her child.

The problems between the parties grew so large that Ciara recently filed to gain sole custody over the 2-year-old, but it was denied by a judge in court last month.

Though there were rumors that Ciara was angry at Wilson for not defending her publicly, the singer recently gushed about the former Super Bowl champion, who finally popped the question to her back in March.

I love my baby," Ciara told E! News last month about Wilson. "He's always capturing cool moments."
