The summer is only just beginning, but it's never too early to look toward the WWE's biggest event of the season.

SummerSlam will emanate live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 21 in what should be a jam-packed show. Another extra layer to the event is that it will be one of the first major spectacles the WWE puts together following the brand extension

Though the event is over two months away, here are five early match predictions for SummerSlam.

1) Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar

The WWE needs a true marquee match to sell this show, and these two behemoths deserve a second chance after their WrestleMania XX match in 2004 didn't go as planned. Goldberg hsa already stated he thinks about facing "The Beast" every day and now that he's back in the WWE fold by appearing in WWE 2K17, a SummerSlam rematch could be in the cards for New York City.

2) WWE Championship Triple Threat: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

The brand split could complicate things, but it's high time the WWE has these three former Shield stablemates battle it out. While such a match could be preserved for WrestleMania, SummerSlam is the summer version of the WWE's marquee event. With Reigns and Rollins already feuding, the WWE could easily add Ambrose into the mix.

Rollins and Reigns could continue their rivalry through the rest of the summer, possibly by the WWE not having a decisive ending to their bouts at Money in the Bank and Battleground. The WWE could then book a No Holds Barred match between the two for SummerSlam, declaring their must be a winner. The "Lunatic Fringe" could win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and proclaim he's cashing in at SummerSlam, turning the singles bout into a Triple Threat.

3) Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena vs. AJ Styles

It seems inevitable that the WWE is going to add another World Championship following the brand split. With the draft likely coming next month, it means that Cena and Styles will either end up on the same brand or have a very short feud. It's likely that the "Cenation" leader and "The Phenomenal One" are engaged in a long-term rivalry, so the WWE could raise the stakes by having the two face in a bout -- possibly with a stipulation -- to determine the undisputed champion of whichever brand they end up on.

4) WWE Women's Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bayley

There have been rumors that "The Boss" will have her crowning moment by defeating Charlotte at SummerSlam. It would make more sense for Banks to dethrone Charlotte earlier in the summer and for Bayley to then be drafted to the former NXT Women's Champion's brand during the split. The two ladies set the world on fire in NXT and having their rivalry rekindled on the main roster could be just the spark the Women's Revoultion needs.

Bayley and Banks stole the show at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn at the Barclays Center last year and a full-circle storyline of having them wage war in the very same building over the WWE's Women's Championship writes itself.

5) WWE Tag Team Championships Tag Team Turmoil: The New Day (c) vs. Enzo & Cass vs. The Vaudevillians vs. American Alpha vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

The WWE boasts a pretty deep tag team and adding American Alpha during the draft could be a huge momentum swing. The New Day won the Tag Team Championships last year at SummerSlam, so to usher in one year with the belts, they'd meet their gravest challenge ever in facing the newest tag teams the WWE has to offer along with the veteran Dudleys.
