Houston ... we have a problem.

Amid the free agency rumors that surround Kevin Durant with July 1 looming, the Thunder star has been linked to the Rockets, but reportedly he doesn't plan on signing with Houston.

Durant was spotted hanging out with James Harden last week, fueleing speculation that he might be mulling a potential deal with the Rockets. The Thunder star and Rockets guard have have a friendship that dates back to when they were teammates in Oklahoma City in 2009.

Though he was seen hanging out with Harden, the two have a close bond, so there wasn't more than meets the eye there.

The Rockets were intent on chasing down Durant, but he has no intentions of signing there, according to ESPN. Durant is expected to have face-to-face meetings with the Warriors and Spurs during free agency, but the prevailing opinion is that he'll re-sign with the Thunder.

If Durant signs a two-year contract with Oklahoma City, a max deal after 2017 would net him up to $204 million, while if he signs elsewhere this season, a max pact would yield him $146 million.

Durant, 27, has spent his entire nine-year career with the Thunder after being drafted in the second round by them back when they were the SuperSonics based in Seattle.

A seven-time All-Star and 2014 NBA MVP, Durant has averaged 27.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists throughout his career.

The Thunder finished 55-27 and in third place in the Western Conference and toppled the Mavericks and Spurs in the opening two rounds of the playoffs before blowing a 3-1 series lead and losing to the Warriors in seven games in the conference finals.

After Oklahoma City's 96-88 loss in Game 7, Durant wasn't ready to face free agency.

"To be honest, I promise you I haven't thought about that," Durant told USA Today Sports after the Game 7 defeat. "It's hard to think about that. Especially right now, especially when you're battling every single day. It's hard. Give me a couple weeks and talk to me then, but I just don't know right know, man."
