J.J. Watt is used to hitting football players, but this time he was taking aim at an NHL star.

Watt co-hosted the the Country Music Television Awards on Wednesday in Nashville and couldn't help but see one common denominator among the women in the room.

"The one thing I've noticed, there are so many hot women here, seriously," Watt said. "No matter where you look, there's a beautiful woman."

The camera then scanned across the Bridgestone Arena on the many beautiful women -- who were anything but single. Watt then brought up country star Carrie Underwood, who is married to Predators center Mike Fisher.

"Oh right, Carrie's definitely taken," Watt said, "but a hockey player, Car? Come on now!"

Fisher then stood up and pretended to remove his suit jacket to throw down and Watt did the same, saying he loves hitting people in Nashville, eluding to the rival Titans. Fisher then shared a laugh with the defensive end.

Watt concluded: "Everybody here is married. Why didn't anyone tell me that before I got here?"

The Texans defensive end has been notably single and even addressed it with the media last year.

"People [I know] think that I've never dated before, or whatever," Watt said via CBS Sports. "But I'm trying. I'm trying. I'm just unsuccessful. My schedule's so crazy and life's so busy, it just hasn't worked."

Watt was recently romantically linked to Kate Hudson when he was spotted out on what appeared to be a date with her, but the actress set the record straight.

"Oh, oh we actually just have the same agent," Hudson told Entertainment Tonight in April. "We were at like a big dinner. That's just what happens. Yeah, we have the same agent."

Underwood, meanwhile, has been happily married to Fisher since 2010 and attended his milestone 1,000th NHL game during this past season, which caused his wife to beam with pride.

"It's very special for our family to get to be here for Mike," Underwood told NHL.com in March after attending the game. "He's there for me and for us as much as he possibly can be with his busy schedule and it's nice to be able to return the favor."
