The revamped WWE women's division may have a new face for SummerSlam.

There have been rumors swirling that the WWE was interested in UFC fighter and "Dancing with the Stars" competitor Paige VanZant, whose stock is going up after she finished as the runner-up on the dance competition.

VanZant's manager, Mike Roberts of MMA Inc. confirmed that the sides are currently in talks for the UFC star to appear at SummerSlam "in some capacity," according to Fox Sports. "The Biggest Party of the Summer" takes place live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 21.

The 22-year-old intends to return to the UFC and is anxiously awaiting her next fight, but the organization hasn't made anything official yet. VanZant also has plans to film a movie this later this year, so her schedule is pretty busy.

It's unknown at this time what role VanZant would have, but PWInsider noted on Monday that the WWE may be looking to do something with multiple ladies from UFC and its women's wrestlers -- possibly some sort of segment.

The WWE and UFC are working together in a cross-promotion, which began when Vince McMahon's company allowed Brock Lesnar to compete at UFC 200 on July 9. "The Beast" will battle Mark Hunt at the milestone event for the company.

Lesnar will then be a huge part of the SummerSlam card the following month. While the UFC may let the WWE obtain the services of VanZant, technically the companies are even now that the WWE has allowed Lesnar to go back to UFC for his first fight since 2011.

The MMA promotion notably allowed WWE fan and former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey to appear at WrestleMania 31 in March 2015, where she got into a verbal and physical altercation with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

VanZant may be the next female UFC competitor to jump over to sports entertainment.
