Lawrence Taylor's wife has been arrested on domestic violence charges.

The legendary Giants linebacker alleges his wife hit him in the back of the head during an argument in Florida and caused a minor laceration.

Police arrested Lynette Taylor, 42, on Thursday on one count of domestic violence and one count of resisting arrest, according to TMZ Sports. It's unclear what Lawrence and Lynette were arguing about, but things apparenlty turned violent.

Lynette has been arrested at least three times in the past for domestic violence incidents, with cases occurring in 1991, 2001 and, most recently, 2008. In the previous instances, the cases were dropped against her.

The wife of the NFL Hall of Famer has once again denied the claims against her.

"That's a lie," Lynette told officials about the allegation, according to TMZ Sports. "My husband is a 300-pound linebacker."

Over a 13-year NFL career with the Giants that spanned from 1981-93, Lawrence Taylor played in 184 games and recorded 132.5 sacks, nine interceptions and had two touchdowns.

Taylor made it to the Pro Bowl 10 times in his career and won two Super Bowls while also earning the Most Valuable Player award in 1986.

Lawrence and Lynette Taylor tied the knot in 2007 and have children together.
