Urijah Faber is very close with Paige VanZant, but the UFC fighters won't end up being more than friends.

The "Dancing with the Stars" contestant recently revealed she is "very single," but Faber isn't looking to be the one to change her status. Due to VanZant's past relationship with fellow UFC star Cody Garbrandt, whom Faber labels a teammate and friend, nothing will happen.

"I know she's single, hey Paige is a very interesting character, she's a teammate, she's not someone I'm gonna be dating, no," Faber said per TMZ Sports. "She's dated one of my teammates here, Cody Garbrandt in the past, so I'm not trying to break the bro code. I would say we are definitely in the friend zone, yeah, the teammate zone."

VanZant and Garbrandt split back in September and she confirmed recently that she's single and knows what she's looking for in a man.

"I'm a personality person," VanZant told TMZ back in March. "So a great personality."

In the Octagon, VanZant is 6-2, but she lost her last fight to Rose Namajunas via submission with a rear-naked choke at "UFC Fight Night" on Dec. 10. Namajunas replaced Joanne Calderwood, who was pulled from the original fight in October.

VanZant then took a break to appear on "Dancing with the Stars," where she fared very well, finishing as the runner-up in the finals.

Faber, meanwhile, is likely more focused on his fight with Dominic Cruz at UFC 199 on Saturday night in California.

VanZant has made a lot of headlines lately, most notably when reigning women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate revealed a story of Ronda Rousey publicly getting in VanZant's face at a VIP event. "Rowdy" was angry at PVZ for congratulating Holly Holm on beating her back in November.

The blonde bombshell confirmed the story, but downplayed it, saying she and Rousey will be just fine.

"I definitely think we'll bury the hatchet," VanZant told TMZ last month. "I'm not too stressed about it. She was a little angry that day."
