Valentina Shevchenko has nerves of steel.

The UFC fighter was involved in a crazy robbery-turned-shootout in Peru recently, but it hasn't hindered her plans to fight Holly Holm next month.

Shevchenko and her trainer, Pavel Fedotov, were eating at a chicken restaurant when three masked gunman attempted a robbery at the establishment. The UFC star's trainer pulled out a gun and shot and killed one of the robbers, but was shot in the stomach himself.

Despite the crazy ordeal, Shevchenko, who was unharmed in the mayhem, still intends to face Holm, the former UFC women's bantamweight champion, at "UFC on Fox 20" on July 23 at the United Center in Chicago.

"I will fight Holly," Shevchenko told TMZ Sports."I am feeling good. No injuries. Just a few days was a very big stress to me. I'm just starting to feel better now."

The Russian UFC fighter's trainer will also survive the gunshot he absorbed, but he is still hospitalized, TMZ reports.

UFC president Dana White initially said he wasn't sure if Shevchenko would fight and said he would understand if she backed out of the upcoming main event.

"When things like that happen, it puts you in touch with your mortality," White said via TMZ.

After the bullets flew and everything was fine, Shevchenko released a statement praising Fedotov's quick action.

"The Act of Pavel was not only in self-defense, but also the defense of my life and also of the people who were by my side!" Shevchenko wrote in a statement via MMAFighting.com.

After dodging bullets in a bloody scene, Shevchenko will continue to turn her attention to training for her fight with Holm next month.
