The "Celtic Warrior" is apparently looking to do a program with the Green Arrow.

Stephen Amell, who stars on "Arrow," is an avid wrestling fan and even had a match last year at SummerSlam. Amell held his own in the ring when he teamed up with Neville to battle Stardust and King Barrett last August at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn.

WWE Superstar Sheamus, who is set to star in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows," which also features Amell, recently hyped having a potential match with the actor, who surprised many with his in-ring abilities at SummerSlam.

"He did a stellar performance at SummerSlam," Sheamus said of Amell via Comicbook.com. "I'd love the opportunity to take him on in the ring. The first time I sat down and met Stephen on set, he surprised me being a huge WWE fan, and so knowledgeable about it for all his life. I talked a bit about what I do, I was like, 'Oh you know, come off the top rope, this and that,' then he shows me this video of him doing Parkour, jumping off walls, doing flips, coming down, another flip, jump out to another wall... I was like, oh, I'll stop talking about myself now. I was pretty impressed."

The last two guys to do battle with Amell are no longer a part of the WWE.

Stardust, who is played by Cody Rhodes, recently requested and received his release along with his wife Eden. The WWE Superstar later revealed that he was fed up with the company's insistence on him keeping the Stardust gimmick and due to his unhappiness with creative.

Barrett, meanwhile, publicly revealed he wouldn't re-sign with the WWE once his contract was up and was eventually granted an early release during the WWE's cutbacks.

The WWE often brings celebrities in for big events such as WrestleMania or SummerSlam, so it's conceivable that the WWE could have Amell and Sheamus work together when the "Biggest Party of the Summer" returns to Barclays Center on Aug. 21.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" featuring Sheamus and Amell will hit theatres this Friday.
