Derek Jeter, Hannah Davis Wedding Rumors: Yankee Captain, Future Wife Set Date For Their Nuptials [VIDEO]

Derek Jeter will officially come off the market during one of the hottest months of the year.

The Yankees captain and former shortstop and his fiancée Hannah Davis got engaged back in October, and they finally got around to revealing a date for their pending nuptials.

Sources close to the couple say Jeter and Davis will be getting married in Napa Valley in early July, possibly even Fourth of July weekend.

"There will be a croquet party on the Friday night," an insider told the New York Daily News of their wedding plans.

Jeter hasn't revealed when his bachelor party will be, but the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model will celebrate her bachelorette party with a trip to Miami in early June, the source added.

Though it took the couple a while to announce their wedding date, it makes a lot of sense. Jeter was known as a laid back guy during his playing days and Davis is probably the most lax bride-to-be ever.

"I'm chill," Davis told Health.com about her attitude being a bride in March. "I just want it to be a fun day, not all the fuss. I don't want to go overboard -- it's not about the place settings. I won't get stressed-out about that, 'cause I could just care less."

Davis has previously stated she wasn't looking for a huge wedding and was actively rooting for people not to show up. Much like Jeter's championship-caliber love life during his playing days, the model likes to keep her current relationship with the five-time World Series champion low-key.

"I feel like I have to share every other part of my life," Davis said in the March issue of Maxim Magazine. "It's that one part that's a little bit of a mystery to people, but that's the way we want it. The only way to protect it is not to talk about it."

Jeter dated a who's who of beautiful women and had a highly decorated career, finishing with a .310 batting average and 3,465 hits.

The Yankees captain called it a career in 2014, and he is hanging up his bachelor hat this summer in another end of an era.
