Free agency is the least of DeMar DeRozan's concerns heading into Wednesday, but that won't stop people from talking about it.

The Raptors guard is expected to be one of the most highly-coveted free agents when the period begins on July 1. DeRozan and the Raptors face a pivotal Game 5 against LeBron James and the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Wednesday, so free agency is likely far from his mind.

After falling into an 0-2 hole in the Eastern Confrence finals, Toronto took both games in Canada to even the series up against their heavily-favored opponents heading into Game 5. The Raptors have already survived two Game 7s through the opening two rounds of the postseason.

Though his mind is on the playoffs, DeRozan's friend, rapper Romeo, fueled the speculation that the 6-foot-7, 220 pound shooting guard could end up playing for the Lakers.

"DeMar is the best 2 guard in the NBA," Romeo told TMZ Sports. "I try to tell people that. Where do the 2 guards end up? The best 2 guards to ever play the game ... the Lakers."

Romeo is best friends with DeRozan and played high school (Compton, Calif. H.S.) and college (USC) basketball with him. The rapper added that DeRozan will end up with whichever team offers him the most, but for now he's focused on the playoffs.

"You gotta pay the man," he said. "That's all I'm saying. That's a beast, you gotta pay the man. I know where he's going though ... Na, look the season ain't over yet man, he's a Raptor."

The Lakers could use a marquee name after the retirement of Kobe Bryant. They could also use a superstar to help turn around a franchise that has set a franchise-low in wins and franchise-high in losses for three straight seasons.

Los Angeles finished 17-65 this past season in yet another foregttable campaign. DeRozan is a two-time All-Star and former No. 9 overall draft pick.

For now, it's unlikely DeRozan is looking beyond Wednesday and his team's pivotal meeting with the Cavaliers.
