A.J. McCarron and Katherine Webb have welcomed their son into the world.

The Bengals quarterback's model wife gave birth to their son, Tropp, on Tuesday. McCarron fired off a tweet after Webb gave birth and the new mother posted a picture of the happy couple with their new addition on Instagram.

Webb and McCarron got married back in July 2014, and they announced on Instagram in December that they were four months pregnant with a baby boy.

"AJ and I feel beyond blessed and grateful to finally announce after 4 months we have been keeping a secret! We are having a boy," Webb, the 2012 Miss Universe, wrote on Instagram at the time.

The past year hasn't been all roses for the happy couple. Webb went on a Twitter tirade back in October after her husband's penis was shown on television during a locker room interview with another Bengals player after a game.

McCarron, however, was thrust into the spotlight after incumbent quarterback Andy Dalton went down with an injury. The quarterback owned a 66.4 completion percentage with 856 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in the regular season and made his playoff debut in a loss for the Bengals.

The quarterback completed 56.1 percent of his passes while throwing for 212 yards with a touchdown and an interception in an 18-16 loss to the Steelers in the Wild Card playoffs.

Now that the baby is here, the couple may have to rekindle its friendly rivalry over where their son will go to college as McCarron joked about their kids going to Alabama and Webb said she prefered her Auburn alma mater. They both then revealed they wanted them to go to the best place possible.

"I'd prefer to let our kids choose where they want to go," Webb said in an interview for Coca-Cola Zero college football Rivalry Week in November. "Because [A.J]. had the choice. He wanted to go to Miami, but he decided on Alabama."

"At the same time, if they're blessed enough to receive a scholarship offer whether it's for school or athletics," McCarron added, "we're gonna also be fans of whoever's help paying for their school."
