Throughout the years, Money in the Bank has become one of the most important events of the year.

The spectacle sets forth an important storyline that could last over a year as the winner of the MITB Ladder Match is guaranteed a WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot anytime within the next year.

Money in the Bank will emanate live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 19. Here is our projected card for the event. To view this article in slideshow form, CLICK START at the top right of this page.

Singles Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin

These two have feuded for the last few months and each has a pay-per-view win over the other. It would make sense for the rubber match between them to take place at Money in the Bank.

WWE United States Championship: Rusev (c) w/ Lana vs. Kalisto

The "Bulgarian Brute" defeated the Lucha Dragons member at Extreme Rules to capture the U.S. Championship for the second time in his career. Given the WWE's normal rules, Kalisto should be due a return match, which could take place next month.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: The Miz (c) w/ Maryse vs. Sami Zayn

The most "must-see" Intercontinental Champion escaped the Fatal 4 Way with Zayn, Kevin Owens and Cesaro with his gold intact. Miz stole Zayn's pin on Cesaro to retain the belt, so the former NXT standout has an argument for a one-on-one shot at The Miz at Money in the Bank.

WWE Women's Championship: Charlotte (c) w/ Dana Brooke & Ric Flair vs. Becky Lynch w/ Natalya

It's possible the WWE runs Charlotte vs. Natalya again, but in the interest of a fresh matchup, it wouldn't be a bad idea to give the "Lass Kicker" some big pay-per-view time. Brooke and Charlotte appear to be a new duo after the former dressed as Ric Flair to help the latter retain her belt at Extreme Rules.

With Emma sidelined, Brooke needed a new partner, and she has one in Charlotte. Lynch was previously feuding with Brooke, so it's likely she'll get involved in their new storyline with Natalya, leading to a new alliance.

WWE Tag Team Championships: The New Day (c) vs. The Club

The New Day has been on top of the tag division for over 270 days, but have yet to really be challenged. It seemed as though Enzo Amore and Big Cass were set to be the next contenders prior to Amore's injury. With The Club dominating the tag division and taking out The Usos at Extreme Rules, they could be contenders to seriously challenge the reigning champions at Money in the Bank.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins

"The Architect" returned to the fold at Extreme Rules and has already set his sights on his former stablemate, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Since Rollins never lost the gold -- having to forfeit it in November due to a knee injury -- he should automatically be deserving of a title shot. Given the event, a Ladder Match stiuplation should be added.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match to determine No. 1 contender for WWE WHC: AJ Styles vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens

This field makes the most sense given the current storylines witin the WWE. One or two of these Superstars could be swapped out for the likes of Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus.

Since Styles has lost on back-to-back events, the only way he can get another crack at the gold would be by winning the Ladder Match. Cena and Orton are two major Superstars due to return by this event, so it makes sense that they would also be in the match.

Ambrose and Jericho can continue their feud within the confines of the Ladder Match, while Cesaro and Owens can do the same while looking to propel themselves to the next stratosphere in the WWE.
