"The Beast" may not be back for a while, but when Brock Lesnar returns to the WWE, he has many options for his next opponent.

Paul Heyman's instrument of destruction hasn't been seen in the WWE since WrestleMania 32 season, but he'll be back to action during the summer.

The current plan is for Lesnar to remain off of television until the buildup for SummerSlam, which emanates from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 21, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.

Here are five potential SummerSlam feuds for "The Beast." To view this article in slideshow form, CLICK START at the top right of this page.

1) Dean Ambrose

Though this has already happened, "The Lunatic Fringe" could seek closure against Lesnar after their recent brief feud. Lesnar defeated Ambrose in a Street Fight at WrestleMania 32, but if the WWE wanted to milk more mileage out of the feud, it could give them another chance to captivate the audience. Lesnar's rivalries are rarely one-and-done, so Ambrose would be a suitable adversary for the summer version of WrestleMania.

2) Randy Orton

"The Viper" has been sidelined since October with a shoulder injury, but he's expected to return soon. Orton remains the most interesting possibility for a feud with Lesnar because his striking offense is suitable to go up against the former UFC star. Orton's sudden moves such as the punt, the RKO and the through-the-ropes DDT could give him a believable chance of defeating Lesnar if they crossed paths.

3) Bray Wyatt

There were rumors that the WWE had huge plans for the "Eater of Worlds" leading into a WrestleMania clash with Lesnar, but the WWE opted to alter the script. Wyatt's push seemed to start following WrestleMania, but he suffered an injury setback. Perhaps the "New Face of Fear's" mega run will begin in earnest when he returns and a feud with Lesnar could be one of the marquee conflicts heading into SummerSlam. Wyatt's great promos and mind games would make for a great build against his hulking adversary.

4) Kevin Owens

Lesnar's feuds work best when he goes up against a bigger rival who can conceivably hold his own against "The Beast." The former NXT Champion certainly fits that build and with both being known as "Prize Fighters" in the WWE, an instant vendetta between the two would only be natural. Owens and Heyman going back and forth on the microphone would also be scintillating. Owens and Lesnar are rumored for a live event match soon, which could be an indication of where the WWE is going.

5) The Rock

The "People's Champion" would make a lot of sense as a full-circle story for Lesnar. The Paul Heyman Guy won his first WWE Championship from The Rock at SummerSlam 2002. Shortly thereafter, the "Brahma Bull" left for Hollywood, while Lesnar spent two straight years on top of the WWE. With Lesnar now one of the biggest names in the company, he could rekindle his rivalry with the legendary Rock at the very same event they headlined 14 years prior.
