Lenny Dykstra joined Twitter on Tuesday and fittingly started things out with an f-bomb.
"Oh so this is Twitter?" Dykstra wrote in his first tweet. "I can say whatever the f--k I want right?"
Dykstra's wild-card personality was on full display after he activated the account and he didn't stop at one tweet. The 53-year-old former outfielder spent 12 years in the MLB, playing for the Phillies and Mets during his career.
The tobacco-chewing ballplayer has always had a very animated personality and never really displays a filter. He's also had a very interesting life away from the diamond.
Dykstra spent six months in federal prison on a grand theft auto charge after being found guilty in December 2012. He also filed for bankruptcy in court.
The 1986 World Series champion and three-time All-Star came back to social media with a bang and the tweets didn't stop with his first one:

Sorry to say but the rumors were false. I was not secretly working as an extra on Orange is the New Black. — Lenny Dykstra (@LennyDykstra) May 10, 2016
What do people prefer for tweets --- text, photos or videos? Let me know and I'll deliver.
