Turns out the nickname "Lunatic Fringe" is the perfect one for Dean Ambrose during "Total Divas" filming.
The WWE Superstar's girlfriend, Renee Young, will join the cast for Season 6, which has already begun filming. That means that Ambrose, like most of the ladies' significant others, will also be a prominent part of the show.
Young recently opened up about how Ambrose, who is notably private and doesn't even use social media very much, has handled the exposure and filming.
"He's handling it pretty much the exact way that you'd imagine Dean Ambrose would handle it," Young said in a video filmed by the WWE. "There's been a lot of loud yelling, not wanting anyone in his face too much, so we will see how that unfolds overtime. But it should be interesting to say the least."
Ambrose and Young have been together for over a year and since they aren't overly public about their relationship, "Total Divas" will certainly lift the curtain on them as a couple.
Young also talked about what fans can expect to see from her when she appears on the reality show.
"I think people will be a little bit surprised of who Renee Young is aside from what you're used to seeing me on TV," Young said. "I think that it'll be cool for people to kinda see the two different sides of me. I'm excited to kind of put it out there and let people see a little bit more of who I actually am as opposed to who I am just on TV. So hopefully it goes over well, don't know yet."
Though Ambrose is an active competitor in the ring, Young isn't looking to become a Superstar. Since joining the WWE family in 2012, she has served as a backstage interviewer and host of big events, and she's quite content with that role.
"Not actually," Young told Planeta Wrestling (via WrestlingInc) when asked about possibly becoming an active competitor. "Could I be open to slapping someone in the face and someone slapping me in the face? Sure. That would be funny, but I'll always be a [host] and an announcer. I don't really want to leave that nest."
