Los Angeles Dodgers Rumors: Yasiel Puig's Helicopter Plans Thwarted By Team [VIDEO]

Yasiel Puig's plans to take to the sky in order to combat the Los Angeles traffic will have to be put on hold.

Fed up with the grind of living in L.A., the Dodgers outfielder was hopeful to get a helicopter much like Kobe Bryant did. His personal car customizer, Alex Vega, even said the 2014 All-Star had plans to trick it out.

The chopper, however, wont come to fruition at the request of the Dodgers, according to TMZ Sports. The site claims that the Los Angeles club didn't think it would be a good idea for the quirky outfielder to provide another distraction with his transportation.

"The Dodgers told him he couldn't have it," Vega told the site. "It was causing so much distraction they didn't want him to get it."

According to TMZ, federal law wouldn't have allowed Puig to fly the helicopter to Dodger Stadium anyway, so it probably wouldn't have been worh the trouble.

The outfielder's eccentric personality hasn't always kept him in the club's good graces, but it seems he was willing to give up on this dream.

Puig, 25, is hitting just .247/.305/.412 with three homers and 12 RBIs this season through 26 games and 105 plate appearances.

Some of Puig's past actions have reportedly not sat well with his teammates, but with new manager Dave Roberts in town, he has made a solid effort to better himself.

"I made a commitment to myself and to the team that I would never be late in 2016," Puig said in Spanish to ESPN. "This is a new year. I arrive early every single day, I work my hardest every single day, and I give my very best on the field every single day."

Though the changes haven't translated into a positive impact on his numbers, it's still very early in the season.

The Dodgers are 14-13 thus far this season, and enter Wednesday in second place in the NL West.
