The Sharks look to jump out to a huge series lead, while the Predators hope a return home can get them into this series when the puck drops on Game 3 in Nashville as part of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

San Jose seeks a commanding 3-0 series lead after taking the first two games at the SAP Center, while the Predators are trying to avoid facing an elimination contest in Game 4.

The Sharks have outscored the Predators 8-4 in this series, taking Game 1, 5-2, and following it up with a 3-2 victory in Game 2 on Sunday.

Logan Couture, Joe Pavelski and Joe Thornton (game-winner) each scored for the Sharks in their win. It was Pavelski's team-best sixth tally of the playoffs, while Courute notched his fourth and Thornton scored his second.

Brent Burn picked up his club-leading ninth assist in San Jose's victory, while he also paces the club with 11 points.

Mattias Ekholm and Ryan Johansen each lit the lamp for the third time this postseason. The two are tied for the team lead in goals, while Colin Wilson (seven) carries the team in points and Roman Josi (six) has led the way in assists.

Craig Smith (lower-body) may not suit up for Nashville in Game 3.

"I think most every team is dealing with guys that are banged up right now," Predators coach Peter Laviolette said via NHL.com. "It's the playoffs, and guys are playing through things and with things or they're out of the lineup based on the severity of the injury."

Though the Sharks are up 2-0 and are 3-0 on the road this postseason, they weren't happy with their many turnovers in Game 2.

"I think as a group we have to catch ourselves before that snowballs like it did," Sharks coach Peter DeBoer said via NHL.com. "I think that's the thing."

Martin Jones will be in the blue paint for San Jose again after turning aside 37 of the 39 shots he faced in Game 2. Pekka Rinne will counter between the pipes for Nashville after yielding 22 goals on 24 shots last time out.
