With their quarterback situation in flux, many Broncos fans are hoping its Tebow Time again.

The former Heisman Trophy winner still doesn't have a job in the NFL, but many Denver fans want to see him don a Broncos jersey once again.

Tebow's NFL career started with the Broncos and included a magical overtime Wild Card playoff win over the Steelers. He then had stints with the Jets, Patriots and, most recently, the Eagles, before being released last September.

Since that release prior to the 2015 season, the signal caller hasn't found another NFL team willing to take a chance on him.

The Broncos quarterback situation is questionable after Peyton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler bolted for the Texans.

Mark Sanchez is the incumbent starter, but he's been inconsistent throughout his career and though Denver drafted Paxton Lynch out of Memphis with the 26th overall pick, he may not be NFL ready.

A petiton online at Change.org that urges the Broncos to bring Tebow back to Denver, has 9,931 supporters as of Tuesday.

"Coach Gary Kubiak's offense would thrive with Tebow under center," the petition reads. "He and the legendary John Elway can make this happen. We dont need a subpar throwaway from some other team, we need an original Bronco who has the fire, desire, and love of the game to play as a Bronco again! As a bonus the Bronco fans would be ecstatic! He just wins, we all know this! #TebowTime"

Tebow hasn't played a down in the NFL since his time with the Jets in 2012, but he could once again provide competition to Sanchez like he did with Gang Green.

Tebow, 28, has a 47.9 completion percentage in 35 games (16 starts) in the NFL while throwing for 2,422 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
