There is no love loss between Ciara and her ex-fiance Future, and the drama may be what kept her current fiance from attending an event with her Monday night.
The "Dance Like We're Making Love" singer was seen dazzling her way through the Met Gala in New York City. While Ciara was there soaking in the spotlight, her fiance Russell Wilson was nowhere to be found.
One person who was seen in attendance was rapper Future, who has had a messy relationship with the R&B star, according to TMZ.
Ciara and Future have been at odds in the tabloids, on social media and even in the courts, over the parenting of their child, baby Future. Wilson has a great relationship with the tike, much to the chagrin of his father.

The two singers split up in August 2014 and after Wilson started dating Ciara, he took a step-father role with her son. Future has never been shy about disparaging his former flame, going so far as to call her "washed up," something she reportedly took great offense to.
"She was pissed Future had the audacity to say her career is washed up," a source told HollywoodLife.com last month. "That infuriated her."
Wilson, who proposed to Ciara back in March meaning their vow of celibacy will soon come to an end, may have just been busy, but his absence was certainly curious since he and Ciara do everything together.
The source close to Ciara claimed she had a bit of a meltdown after Future's latest comments about her.
"She's equally mad that Russell's not stepping up and publicly defending her," the source told the site. "She's making crazy demands, telling Russell she wants to be on the cover of as many magazines as possible leading up to the wedding so she can show Future she's still A-List."
Maybe that's why Wilson's best move was to stay home.
