Renee Young isn't about to follow the "Lunatic Fringe" into the ring.

The WWE host and announcer has addressed becoming a competitor in the ring in the past, but she doesn't appear to be very open to the idea anymore. Young isn't about to enter the squared circle like her boyfriend Dean Ambrose.

"Not actually," Young told Planeta Wrestling (via WrestlingInc) when asked about possibly becoming an active competitor. "Could I be open to slapping someone in the face and someone slapping me in the face? Sure. That would be funny, but I'll always be a hoster and an announcer. I don't really want to leave that nest."

Young has been a part of the WWE family since 2012, and she's largely been a backstage interviewer and a host of big WWE events.

Just because she isn't looking to take things to another level, it doesn't mean fans can't get to know her even more. Young will appear on "Total Divas" Season 6 as part of a major cast shakeup, which will delve more into her life.

The last time an in-ring debut was broached to her, Young seemed into the idea, though she didn't fully commit to it.

"I'd definitely be open to the idea of doing a storyline in some capacity," Young told the Miami Herald last month while hyping WrestleMania 32."I think it would be so fun to jump in there and do something like that. If that opportunity came along, I would go with it, but I think WWE has other things in mind for me."

Young has been in a relationship with Ambrose for at least over a year, but the WWE hasn't integrated it into the storylines. It should be interesting to see whether or not Young's relationship with Ambrose, whom she has called a "lovely man," will be featured on the reality show.

The "Lunatic Fringe" is usually a very private person, but he gushed about his relationship with Young after word of their relationship first broke out.

"I wouldn't be with anything less than the optimal, most beautiful, most tremendous girl in the world," Ambrose told "The Gorilla Position" podcast in September according to What Culture. "But the bottom line is, she's far too good for me. But it's far too late and I've got my claws stuck into her now, she can't go anywhere."

One place she certainly won't be going is in the ring as a competitor.
