The Warriors shockingly stumbled in Game 3, paving the way for an intriguing Game 4 against the Rockets in Houston on Sunday.

Golden State marched out to a 2-0 series lead by picking up a dominant 104-78 victory in Game 1 and following it up with a 115-106 triumph in Game 2. Houston made it a series when it shifted to the Toyota Center, picking up a 97-96 victory in Game 3 on a last-second shot by James Harden.

Harden had a game-high 35 points and nine assists in the game, but nothing was more important than his late shot to win it all.

"The last shot was typical of what James does," coach J.B. Bickerstaff said, according to NBA.com. "The move, we've seen before. The finish, we've seen before. You do get spoiled by it at times, but in these biggest of moments, you can't help but appreciate it."

Playing without Steph Curry (ankle) for the second straight game, the Warriors were paced by Mareese Speights' 22 points, while Klay Thompson contributed a team-best eight rebounds. Curry's status for Game 4 remains uncertain.

With or without Curry, Golden State is in search of a better all around effort in Game 4.

"Whether Steph's here or not, we should perform at a high level, which we did for much of the game, but we've got to eliminate some of the mistakes," coach Steve Kerr said via NBA.com.

The Warriors won a record 73 games in the regular season and had defeated the Rockets in six straight games and 14 of 15 heading into Game 3.
