Will the WWE Universe in New Orleans get to smell what The Rock is cooking at WrestleMania 30? With the WWE hosting its premiere event April 6 at the Mercedes-Bens Super Dome in New Orleans, rumors have circulated over which past iconic superstars will return for the milestone event and while Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been on the WWE's radar, would he be willing to return like he has the last three years?

"The Rock" made his first appearance at WrestleMania since 2004 when he appeared at the 2011 spectacle to host WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta before competing in back-to-back WrestleManias against John Cena, earning a victory over Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII in his home state of Florida and then falling to him last spring at WrestleMania XXIX at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. WWE was hoping to nab "The Brahma Bull" for WrestleMania this year but other commitments will likely keep him away from the company during WrestleMania weekend.

Early reports indicated that The Rock was set to square off with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 in the continuation of their longstanding feud back in 2002. The plans hinged on The Rock returning to the WWE and agreeing to do WrestleMania for a fourth consecutive year, but it seems that due to him filming a movie around that time and the fact that he was legitimately injured and had to undergo three surgeries for a hernia that he described via his Twitter account as a "75% Rectus and adductors tears, that he won't be back.

Johnson may have been a bit miffed that he got hurt as it could have proven to be detrimental to his booming movie career, but it seems as though the fact that his schedule won't allow him to compete at 'Mania is the real driving force behind his absence from the show.

With Lesnar in need of something to do during his part time contract with the WWE, the reports have indicated that Lesnar may be the one to go after the Undertaker's legendary 21-0 undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30. Rumors circulated that WWE might attempt to bring in Steve "Sting" Borden to go after the streak since it has been a heavily speculated and desired dream match, but with the WWE and Sting never agreeing to terms the last few years, the Lesnar and Undertaker feud is almost a lock.

Even though The Rock likely won't be making a return, WWE is hoping to make it a huge show full of throwback classic wrestlers as it is the 30th anniversary of WrestleMania. Names such as "Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Bill Goldberg and many others have come up as possible returnees for the WWE's biggest show of the year.

The WWE and The Rock most likely won't have a reunion when WrestleMania launches April 6 from New Orleans.
