Sasha Banks appeared to be destined for a huge WrestleMania Moment on April 3, but the WWE opted to have Charlotte retain the title.

"The Boss" will hopefully have several more WrestleManias in her future to make an impact, so it's fine for Charlotte, who has been coming into her own as a character and athletic performer, to retain the Women's Championship.

What isn't fine, however, is the WWE creative team's constant habit of holding Banks back on the main roster.

After exploding on the scene in NXT and putting the division on the map as its Women's Champion, Banks has barely had time to shine on the main roster. Sure, her cousin Snoop Dogg played her down to the ring at WrestleMania to give her a grand entrance and her match was arguably the match of the night, but she's been lost in the shuffle.

On what was fittingly the 316th episode of his podcast, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin talked about the WrestleMania 32 clash between Banks, Charlotte and Becky Lynch and rightfully gave it praise. The WWE Hall of Famer called the bout "one of the bright spots of the night," but he had some qualms about how the company has slowed down Banks' push.

"Today, she has lost some momentum," Austin said about Banks, according to Wrestling Inc, "and she's one of my favorites, so they need to light her ass back up."

Light it up indeed.

Banks had a world of momentum after separating herself from Team B.A.D. and constantly gets the largest pops out of any woman in the division, yet she wasn't given a chance to star at WrestleMania. It's likely her moment is coming at SummerSlam in August, but the WWE needs to keep her going strong in the meantime.

Following WrestleMania, Charlotte moved on to a feud with Natalya heading into Payback, while Banks has been forced to go through the motions.

Banks helped put women's wrestling on the map in NXT. She and Bayley put on one of the greatest matches of 2015 on the eve of SummerSlam 2015 at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn last August. It's likely that the Barclays Center will be the spot of her big crowning moment on the main roster this summer as well.

But in order to get there, the WWE needs to keep "The Boss" going strong. All they have to do is listen to their fans.

Who should be the face of the WWE's revamped Women's division?
