Promoter Lou DiBella believes Errol Spence Jr. is ready for big fights in the coming months, expressing confidence the 26-year-old is capable of beating top-tier fighters, including Manny Pacquiao.

Spence, a former Olympian, improved his record to 20-0 via a devastating fifth-round knockout victory over Chris Algieri on Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Following the victory, DiBella said that Spence clearly showed he is now one of the top 10 fighters in the world and talked about the possibility of facing Pacquiao, who failed to knockout Algieri in 2014 in Macau.

"Pacquiao? I'd bet my house right now he'd beat Pacquiao," DiBella said via BoxingScene. "He walked through Chris. No one has ever walked through Chris. Am I surprised by that? I'm surprised by that."

However, the fight against Pacquiao is highly unlikely at this point. The Filipino boxing icon announced his retirement after scoring a unanimous decision win against Timothy Bradley on April 9. The former eight-division champion will only consider coming out of retirement if Floyd Mayweather agrees to a rematch.

Spence Wants Shot at Kell Brook

Meanwhile, Spence called out reigning International Boxing Federation welterweight champion Kell Brook, who also has a perfect record in 36 professional fights.

Spence, who has knocked out his last seven opponents and has stopped 17 of his 20 foes since turning professional in 2012, said that Brook should give him a shot at the IBF welterweight title this year.

"Kell Brook knows what time it is. We got to get in the ring and fight," Spence told Sky Sports. "I did something Manny Pacquiao couldn't do, nor Amir Khan. That shows where I'm at in the welterweight division."

However, DiBella told BoxingScene that he does not believe Brook will agree to face Spence this year. Brook, who won against Kevin Bizier in March, is being linked to possible fights against Amir Khan, Adrien Broner and Danny Garcia later this year.
